How to select a shower system

Thermostatic vs Pressure Balanced:

Thermostatic systems let you set your desired water temperature once and keep it. They are typically higher in cost due to added internal components and enhanced performance. Pressure balanced systems are more affordable and help reduce sudden temperature fluctuations by balancing water pressure.

Trim Only vs Valve & Trim

Trim only includes the visible exterior components, such as handles and faceplates, and should be selected if a compatible valve is already installed. Valve & trim includes both the internal valve and the exterior trim and should be selected when installing a new shower system or replacing an existing valve.

Ceiling Mount vs Wall Mount:

Ceiling mount positions the shower head directly overhead for a rainfall-style experience. It's great for larger showers with higher ceilings and may require additional plumbing in the ceiling. Wall mount installs the shower head on the wall for a standard angled spray and is typically simpler and more cost-effective to install. It's also preferable for smaller showers with lower ceilings.
